Hi again! Do you have any tips regarding jumping please?
I have seen vid's of Nitro buggies land on all fours after about 3 secs of air!! How do they control their buggies in mid air. I want to start doing big airs on my Supershot and Thundershot. Is it a question about power or throttle? Thanks! |

The wise one answers:
Yes it is. The nitro buggies have a slight advantage that the wheels/tyres being so big allows their momentum/mass to influence the direction of the car. In other words hitting a ramp and increasing throttle will picth the nose of the car up, dab the brakes or lift off and it will roll the car forward. In fact at the extremes this can be used to somersault these cars. It's not quite so easy with the vintage buggies so it's best to experiment as it depends on the size/angle of the ramp and your approach speed. Generally it's best to keep the power on and lift off just before touchdown to protect the gears. Enjoy your airtime! |
