i have a couple of vintage cars superchamp and sand scorcher the receivers are 27mhz but old and not in to good shape looking at buying new wons can i use 40mhz in an old futaba radio unit from the 80s as i like it and would like to keep using it? what is the difference and does 27 or the 40 give you better performance? thank you Skid |

The wise one answers:
You should be able to swop the receivers for 40mhz ones, but you'll need a 40mhz transmitter too and 40mhz crystals. All the servo's & speed controller should work with the 40mhz gear. The only difference is the frequency. I've used 40mhz for a while now and it's better than 27mhz. |
