Question: If the battery is dying in a car with a mechanical speed controler. Will this cause the servo to remain in "drive" position
 

The wise one answers:

Yesh it will, but only if you are driving with a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) receiver. If you have old radio gear with the 4 AA batteries in your car too then there's no problem, unless they go flat too! This is why modern ESC's cut out when the battery gets low, to stop it going out of control!
