Question: hey prof..i got a stock vintage hilux and its got really stiff suspension, is there a way i could soften it up a bit and get a bit more articulation?thanx
 

The wise one answers:

It depends how far you want to go and retain the scale realism of that chassis. The easiest way is to ditch the Hilux spring leaves and install those from the Mounty or Bruiser instead. They have much more give, the Hilux/Blazer ones are way too stiff. This will give you more movement but it will lift the chassis a little. The tyres on the Hilux are also very unforgiving with the solid plastic inserts, you could try more modern XC tyres. Good ruck!
