| Question: |
Hello,
maybe you can help me...?
I have put a brushless 8T motor in my Monster Beetle. The dif. gear is no more by the high power of the motor. Is there a metal dif. gear on the market or a slipper clutch for the MB, Blackfoot, frog? I think I've read something about a metal dif. for the Blackfoot..? Is that correct...
Thx. |

The wise one answers:
Not that I know of. There might be certain diffs or upgrades possible but the weakest link on these gearboxes is the tendancy of the side plates to splay out allowing slippage of the gears which then wear and slip even more. You're probably wasting your time with a very powerful brushless motor as the car isn't designed to go that fast and no amount of ugrading will hold it together. If it's not the gearbox you'll smash the front end or the rear suspension or the body etc etc. |
