Hellofella's.
Nearing 40 these days and restoring most of my Tamiya collection from the 80's, Scorcher, R'R, Lunchbox etc. Looking for loads of power (motors etc) can you explain in idiot speak what I should be lookin for ? Seen motors with 23 turn, 19 turn armatures etc but no idea what this means ? running them all on mechanical s/c's and 7.2v 2000+ ni-cads, help an "older" Tamiya nut out here ???

Shounds like fun fella?! Rule of thumb is.. the lower the turn of motor the faster it goes! I wouldn't go below 23turns with a mechanical speed controller though, the resistors will get very hot! There are many cheap electronic speed controllers out there. Tamiya do good ones for the price. And you will get far smoother acceleration!
