skid i ran my wild one with an upgraded tamiya esc along w/ a tamiya super stock motor and after a few minutes i think i stripped the gears--i havnt opened it yet but should i change the motor or esc or both? I was hoping to at least keep the esc. |

The wise one answers:
It's more than likely to be worn gears or incorrectly shimmed diff. This gearbox will only tolerate a certaint anount of power but your motor and ESC should be fine in the Wild One. Make sure that when you re-build the gearbox that the diff gears aren't too loose, the diff on these almost wants to feel tight when you turn a wheel by hand. |
