Skid, How water tight are the new SRB's straight out of the box. I saw a vid from Clumber park where a SS was pretty much submerged! Before I try the same with mine would you reccomend any further measures? |

The wise one answers:
Well the new one is about the same as the original. They're not really waterproof at all! They're really designed to be splash proof and the mechanism box will always let water in. The gearbox / motor is never a problem as these motors will run under water anyway but the secret is to waterproof your receiver in a balloon and tie up the neck with a cable tie and also use a waterproof ESC like those from MTronics. |
