Hi Prof, another question.....
I have bought a 14.4volt Mtronics super E trucker RV esc. Can it be used with one battery (7.2volt)? If not I was thinking of using it in my Clod Buster with the Traxxas Titan 550 motors 21turn - after linking the batteries to make 14.4volt would I need a separate power supply for the receiver? I think I read somewhere about cutting the small red wire from the esc? Any help would be great. Thanks. |

The wise one answers:
I'm not sure about this particular ESC if it will run 7.2V but it's an easy thing to try and will do it no harm? Connect the batteries in series to get 14.4V or parallel to get double capacity at 7.2V. Not sure about your receiver, it depends what BEC circuitry it has to drop the voltage. Would be possible to connect the receiver inline to the first battery and only see 7.2 volts though? It's all down to how you wire it and your know how in that area. |
