Hi Prof, last year I bought an old Clod Buster of eBay. It was an impulse buy while having a look at various "toys" I had as a kid. Anyway, I always wanted a Clod back then but never had the money so I finally own one. (which has lead to 17 other models lol)
While searching eBay I noticed lots of Shelf Queens which was the first time I had heard that term. My question is;
Who came up with the term "shelf queen" and how long has it been used for? |

The wise one answers:
MMmmmmm very good queshtion indeed.. I think it originated from the UK back in the early 90's. There's been no King here in the UK for many years now and so 'Queen' was picked along with 'Shelf' as a nice car is always sat there showing off.. Then again I could be wrong ;-) |
