| Question: |
i just asked about how long to charge a 7.2 VOLT 2700MAH NI-MH HUMP BACK BATTERY and i have found 2 chargers that look exactly the same but 1 has a 2amp fast charge and the other has 4amp fast charge. does this mean that the 4 amp charges faster? |

The wise one answers:
Don't take that tone with me young man when I'm trying to help! I'll make you wash my underpants! Anyway, the 4amp will charge faster. But with modern chargers you don't have to worry about times as it stops charging when the battery is fully charged. If it's an older charger with a timer on it you have to keep an eye on it. When the battery fully charged it should be nice and warm. Working out times is roughly like this a 1amp battery charged at 1amp per hour takes an hour to charge. So do the maths. A flat 2.7mah battery charged at 4amps oer hour should take around 67 minutes. At 2amps per hour it will be double this. Happy? |
