Hi there, I am closing in on completing a rebuild of a Supershot however I have come across a bit of a weird problem. The front gearbox is giving me grief. Both wheels spin fine together and the left will spin freely when the right is stopped but if you stop the left and spin the right it snags at certain points during its rotation. I have checked all the gears and taken it apart many times but cant seem to find the problem. Any ideas? |

The wise one answers:
Ah, I've had a problem like this and it was the 'H1' gear or the 'Counter Bevel gear' if you look in your manual. The teeth on the gears were moulded badly, strange for Tamiya I thought at the time and I found a few sets the same! If it's not this make sure your front drive shafts are the correct one/legnth. |
