Hi prof, many thanks for your advice on my clacky box on my monster beetle, the dog bones worked wonders from the frog. Please could i get some advice on making it run just a little faster now, your suggestions please on what i can upgrade by way of motor turns or make ? speed controller and gearing. I assume i need to change the motor and move to a modern speed controller, the running time as bog standard on the new batteries is great but i just want it to run a little quicker on the sand bar. to keep up with my standard scorcher.

I would try a modern Tamiya motor, something like a GT Tuned? Or one of there Black motors. You dont need much more power or you will strip that gearbox even quicker than normal!
