hello Prof, once all the thread has gone from a plastic part do you know of a good product to fill the hole and then drill and tap ?? |

The wise one answers:
I normally fill the hole with superglue and screw in while still wet. You can remove the screw later if needed and it does leave some kind of thread behind. I don't know of a product intended though i'm afraid. As long as you can fill the hole with something that will bond to the plastic you can tap the hole with a screw which is what you do with a new kit. No need to drill and tap. |
