Hi prof, its shmee again, can you tell me is there a direct way to buy vintage tamiya spares for scorchers and monster beetles, by this i mean can i just choose to buy direct from tamiya at stupid money if there is a part i need, can model shops purchase directly for me. or is ebay and tamiya club etc about the only way i can get spares

Hmm not really, Tamiya only stock certain parts and have always preferred not to deal direct as i can tell. Best to source through their distributors/model shops. Model shops normally source through a distributor for their country/region. Ebay does to a certain extent cut this loop down as you can buy from model shops all around the world.
