Hi Prof, I have just purchased an Avante 2011 model and was thinking of replacing the motor supplied (540 GT Tuned) with the original Technigold. Model shop owners have told me the Technigold has more grunt but the specs say otherwise (430 vs 500gm/cm). Whats your opinion ? |

The wise one answers:
Well on paper it looks like you're right although i know the Technigold does punch above it's weight and provides plenty of torque. For a runner though i'm not sure it's worth spending the money on a vintage motor like the Technigold. There are plenty of modern alternatives just as good if not better for performance. |
