I have an original manta ray from the 90's it doesn't have a motor anymore, I want to place something a little faster in. Is a 23t tamiya sport tuned ok? Or will it shred the old gearbox? Also I want to replace the mechanical speed controller for an esc, what would you recommend? |

The wise one answers:
The Manta Ray gearbox is pretty strong and will easily cope with some pretty hot motors. A 23T black is pretty mild for this car. For Black sport tuned and silver can 540 motors i would recommend a Tamiya electronic speed controller for a reliable cheap solution. Anything hotter motor wise will cook it though. |
