Question: Skid, why doe everyone rate the Supershot so highly, yet knock the BigWig? weight difference is minimal, looks are down to personal opinion, am I missing something else? And are either really any better than the Boomerang in your opinion? - cheers!

The wise one answers:

It's a good question. I believe the Bigwig takes some stick because the looks are not universally liked. Most people including myself prefer the looks of the Supershot. The Supershot is also quite a lot tougher, the Bigwig shell is vulnerable to damage but the Supershot shell is far smaller and better protected, the wing can easily be replaced and is integral on the Bigwig. The Bigwig steering rack is also pretty horrible, it works well when it's clean but quickly gets jammed up when the stones and sand are flying. The Boomerang is indeed a good model but it suffers the same issue with the steering as the Bigwig despite being a slightly different system and it also suffers several weak points that the Supershot does not, for example the battery door is very weak, the battery door pin is prone to jamming, the chassis is prone to cracking, the bumper is pretty weak and the front arms that push the mono damper are weak. The Boomerang will perform as well as a Supershot though, looks good and is cheaper. My preferred choices would be 1. Supershot 2. Boomerang 3.Bigwig. Phew... i hope that helps?
