Question: One more Bigwig question Mr Skid, I am restoring one at the moment and bought some repro decals and they ain't brilliant, but new decals are so rare and expensive! Do you think they will re release it or shall I bite the bullet and pay top dollar next time some new old stock original decals show up on eBay?

The wise one answers:

It's a tough one to call. On the one hand they could re-release anything. On the other hand though it was a special celebration model. On the other hand they must have spent a lot of money on it's development so it would be good to get further cash from that design. On the other hand though it probably wasn't a great seller. Hmm i have nearly as many hands as an octopus! The question is though should you put re-release decals on an older model anyway, that's not really the right way to do but is the reason so many collections and parts are de-valued. Personally if it was a high quality resto for the shelf i'd pay the premium and put new old decals on. Even if it's then re-released you know you did it properly.
