Have you ever thought of going thru your spares box, and creating (or attempting to!) a one off, unique Tamiya Frankenstein made up of parts of various kits you may have lying around......I have lots of Fox, Boomerang, Hopper, Madcap and Brat bits and I am sure it'd be possible to make a one off runner out of the lot.....
I'd love to see you guys do a feature or competition along those lines!

It's a great idea to be fair and could be one for a future build article as you say. The Sand Rover we did on a hybrid SRB/holiday buggy chassis was a little that way. Back in the day as kids we used to mix and match too. I remember building a car with SRB front end, grp chassis and Astute gearbox!
