Skid, Is the Tamiya sport tuned motor better than the GT tuned the Super Hotshot comes with? I want a bit more speed without going brushless! Also, would a Lipo bty give me more power?

The wise one answers:
No, GT tuned is a better motor that sport tuned. Sport Tuned are only really a standard silvercan with less turns, most at 23t instead of 27 but really you need a ball raced motor. There are plenty of motors that will give you good speed without going brushless. A 2 cell Lipo will give you equivalent power to a NiCD or NiMH race pack but with reduced weight. A 3 cell Lipo will give you a lot more speed but most brushed motors and ESC can't handle it. |
