Hi Skid,I collected a few vintage srb's with black front bumpers and outhers grey ones. Please tell me what is the difference between black and grey vintage and the 2009/2010 black front bumpers.

The wise one answers:
Black and grey vintage bumpers are the same apart from literally the colour of the plastic. Obviously vintage bumper are worth a lot more and up until the re-release SRB kits a NIB black bumper might have been worth £120 or more. Although still valuable a black bumper from the era will be worth less now as quite simply there are fewer people prepared to part with that kind of cash thanks to the re-re black bumper. Plenty of people will be happy with those on their shelfers. The black re-re bumper has 1979-2009 moulded into it so it's easy to spot an imposter. Beware with old black bumpers, many are actually grey ones that have been dyed. |
