Question: yesh,i reckoned the voltage will be fine..each cell is 1.2 voltsh jusht like a shub C size cell.i read that a 2 third A size cell will put out upto 20 ampsh...am i right in thinking that a standard 540 motor drawsh about 12 ampsh or there aboutsh?...itsh all strabge to me..i havnt even sheen an A size cell let alone a 2-3rds one! mushnt grumble tho...

The wise one answers:

Well the current draw from any motor will vary depending on the car it's in, how you're driving it etc. For example running through long grass will cause more current draw. You can work out the average current for one run by dividing the capacity of your battery pack by the time you got. For example a 1200mah pack will give 1200mA or 1.2A for one hour. If you get say 10 mins from this pack then your average current draw was (60/10) x 1.2 = 7.2A. 12 Amps sound about right for a silver can in most scenarios. Cheerrssh!
