Hello,
I just discovered that newer RS540 Motors won't fit my SRB that easily.
They seam to have a larger diameter
I'm thinking of buying a new blackmotor-sprint to fit the SRB.
Will it be difficult to fit in aswell?
The wise one answers:
Yesh, it'sh true. It'sh a real problem fitting modern motors to an SRB. I think the problem lies with the right hand side of the gearbox inside, where the motor slides in. It's usually smaller than the left hand side and the motor hits it when you push it in. Try stripping the gearbox and sanding/filing the alloy away, sometimes people use a dremmel or something attached to the end of a drill to take off that access alloy. It's not easy, but worth it if in the long run.
